05/02/2023General Description Under the direction of the Grants Director, the Senior Grants Analyst engages in the full grant process, including research and identification of funding sources, proposal and application for funding and documentation and reporting necessary to obtain and maintain grants from Federal, State and other agencies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Conducts a full range of activities required to research, identify, prepare, manage, and submit grant proposals to Federal, State, foundation, or corporate sources Assists the Grants Director with developing and managing the Grants Strategic Plan Manages the day-to-day responsibilities of other Grant Writers in the Department Writes grant applications, requests for proposals and letters of intent/inquiry Establishes and maintains personal contact and relationships with Federal, State and foundation contacts and program officers Works to increase grant-related revenue streams for the County Oversees internal and external monitoring processes to ensure grant compliance from local, State, and Federal sources Coordinates with other departments/divisions to resolve issues related to grants Conducts periodic audits of program documentation for compliance with local, State and Federal rules, regulations, policies, and procedures Monitors expenditures and revenues related to grant projects Analyzes and documents grants, grant related contracts, agreements, reports and reimbursement requests for accuracy, completeness, and compliance Coordinates financial audits and information requests from grant/contract representatives Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree in English, communications, creative writing or closely-related field Master's Degree in English, communications, creative writing or closely-related field (Preferred) Two years of experience in full-cycle grants application and documentation process Valid Florida driver's license with clean driving record Any combination of education and experience may be substituted, so long as it provides the desired skills, knowledge and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job Supplemental Information Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.

Knowledge of data collection methods related to grant writing Strong research skills and knowledge of Federal, State and local grant sources Knowledge of methods of developing grant writing strategies, goals and objectives Knowledge of grant processes and procedures, including application procedures, guidelines and requirements governing such funds Knowledge of analytical and statistical methods Skill in interviewing and data-gathering techniques Skill in researching, analyzing, interpreting and applying related Federal, State and local laws, rules and regulations Ability to develop and submit grant proposals Ability to establish collaborative working relationships with other employees and the public Ability to compile and analyze data using quantitative and statistical analysis techniques Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Ability to perform mathematical calculations Ability to collaborate effectively with others Ability to perform independently a wide variety of assigned tasks Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to deal with the public Excellent knowledge of proposal submission and fundraising processes Superior verbal and written communication skills Ability to handle confidential matters with utmost integrity Employees may be required to perform duties, including the employee's normal work function or other emergency support functions as deemed necessary by the County, as assigned before, during, and after hazardous weather or state of local emergency.

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
The person in this position needs to be able to frequently move about inside the office to access files, personnel, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a telephone, calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
This position frequently communicates with supervisor and other team members to gather relevant data for grants proposals and reports.
Must be able to communicate clearly in these circumstances.
Must be able to perceive, inspect, assess, and compare data and to synthesize data into comprehensive reports and cohesive proposals for funding.
Occasionally moves boxes and/or files weighing up to 10 pounds.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)The County provides a comprehensive employee assistance program, provided by Aetna, which includes counseling, education and referral services for employees and their eligible family members.

VacationFull-time employees accrue vacation of up to 96 hours per year and the accrual will increase depending their length of service with the County.
Employee may also earn 8 hours as personal leave each year.
Sick LeaveFull-time regular employees accrue up to 96 hours of sick leave on a yearly basis.
Holiday PayThe County has eleven paid holidays as listed for full-time and part-time employees (as scheduled).

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
